The media could not be loaded.  The little plastic tab that the filter presses against to activate the pressure valve on the manifld was broke, no water flow for drinking or ice maker. This direct replacement was perfect fit and fixed everything! Great price and fast delivery.

I ordered this, got same day delivery, and changed it same-day. Super easy DIY! You'll need this part, a towel, a wrench, 1/4 hex bit, ratchet (and/or drill), and a ratchet extension bar (with the adapter to fit the 1/4 inch bit). I removed 7 bolts, and the 2 tube connections, moved the putty and pulled the old one out. Did it in reverse and everything worked perfectly within 10 minutes start to finish. Works great, my water spout works again, my ice cubes are normal sized again, the fridge isn't screaming at me every time it tries filling the ice tray. Very satisfied. I have a GE Fridge GSS25WSTM SS. Heres some photos of the part after it was installed!

Bought this to replace a cracked hose on my GE GSH25JFRF. The part consists of the filter holder, which mounts inside the fridge, and the two hoses that lead into it (one connects to the water supply line and the other to the valve at the lower left corner of the fridge when you face the rear. It was that second hose that cracked, just above the fitting where it attaches to the valve. Very simple to replace. It took all of 15 minutes, if that. All you need is a hex driver and something flat like a screwdriver to pry open a clamp. There are videos on youtube that will show you how easy it is.

I had trouble with my water dispenser for a long period of time. Slow or no water flow, hammering noise, etc. I tried to put a washer in top of filter, like I read on internet, it worked for awhile then back to problems. We changed out this filter assembly and it fixed the problems. There is a video on youtube to show you how to do it. I recommend this product if you are having same issues I had.

The water dispenser water flow became more and more reduced, accompanied by a loud knocking sound, and water flow finally stopped completely. The new filter assembly fixed everything--full water flow and quiet. It is very easy to install. Just make sure all connections are secure to prevent leaks.

Our water dispenser has been so slow for years. I finally looked up a YouTube video on possible causes. I ordered this assembly and followed the video instructions, which were super easy. Now, we have excellent water flow.

If you have water running all the way through your refrigerator lines but not coming out through your refrigerator, this part is for you. It is an easy fix that requires turning off the water line to the refrigerator and replacing the valve on the back of the refrigerator, underneath the metal backing. Your symptoms likely include no water coming through the door and no water making into the icemaker. You should check your filter first and make sure that it is not clogged. There are no instructions with this part.
