Bellroy Leather iPhone X Phone Wallet (Max. 5 Cards and a Phone) - Stone

This is the best engineered case out there for having wallet storage but still in a slim design that fits the phone like a glove. It really is ingenious how the available slots seem to add no bulk whatsoever, even when filled. The leather and overall quality is terrific, although it should be for $100. I would have given 5 stars, but the case does not support the auto sleep/auto wake function of the iPhone X, and with all the design features built-in I’m surprised this was not included. As a partial workaround, if you have the pickup to wake option on, for the most part you can avoid having to tap the screen every time you open the cover - but again for the $100 price I feel like I shouldn’t have to settle for partial workarounds - and the battery is being used up because that doesn’t enable the auto sleep.

I love the way this case holds my cards. Ideal for a Drivers License & 3 main cards - any more and they're difficult to get out. I thought the top flap would woo my phone to sleep but nope, I have to hit the power button to put it to sleep. Also, there is a magnetic snap located in the middle of the phone, but the little magnetic liner came out of the case within a few months, so now the flap falls open all the time. If they relocated the magnet to the top &/or bottom perimeter and not within a separate edge, it might help. Overall the outside leather is durable & definitely provides the protection you would hope for in a $75 case.

The images of the product are not honest depictions of the case I received. The rear of the case has all manner of grooves and is not flat. It is quite unattractive. The front flap does not sit flush to the phone, which is extremely disappointing. The packaging was not sealed, so I may have received a factory second or perhaps someone used it and returned it. Paid retail and a factory second is unacceptable. I purchased for function as much as form and I am not one to subject myself to the hassle of returning items, so I may keep it as my time is worth more than the hassle. However, in all honesty, I am not happy with the case and will likely never purchase a bellroy product online again.

Replaced a 12south leather case that was not holding my iPhone X securely by this case. Love the protection if gives to the phone, magnet did not stay on the case, was expecting leather but it feels plasticky, I prefer my Belroy wallet for feel good factor

Quality is just okay. For 100 dollars, I was expecting something a little higher especially with the finer details. I think that the next iteration of this product will probably be a little better.

AMAZING. If you have an iPhone X, you need to provide adequate protection, and this is perfect protection, plus and amazing wallet. Love it, very impressive!

The quality of workmanship on this case is very good. it is not the smallest case on the market but considering it acts as a wallet as well, it is reasonably compact. I have been trying to live my daily life with only this case and no wallet and it just about works... 1 phone, 1 credit card, 1 bank card, 1 insurance card, and 1 driving license, 1 sim pin (there is all space for a 2nd sim). At a squeeze you can push a folded emergency cash note in between the 2 cards inside. with these 4 cards + a folded note, you can notice a gap when the screen cover is closed but the magnet just about still works. The stiffness of the hidden wallet function also stops the cover from flapping round the back when using the camera but still one handed camera operation is challenging.** The design faults with this case are as follows:1) The iPhone X has an automatic on an off function which is controlled by magnets in an apple cover. This helps to save battery life and means you do not have to manually turn off the phone before closing the case or letting it switch off on the delay timer. For the high price of this case, I would expect this functionality included.2) This case has been designed for the iPhone X which has the convenient feather of wireless charging. the phone will charge on my wireless charger through the case but according to the manufacturer and online reviews, it is advised that wireless pay cards and possibly cards with magnetic data strips can be wiped/damaged by wireless charging. That means, to use this as a permanent case and wallet on the iPhone X and to charge wirelessly, I have to remove the 2 cards I have on the inside each night before I charge it and put them back each morning. Sounds like a small effort but its one of those annoying things that will eventually stop me from using the case. I would be interested to know if it would be possible to put some form of protection in the lining of the case to protect the cards while maintaining the wireless charging functionality.The result is 3 stars as, for me, full functionality with the device it was intended for is paramount and this falls short. especially at that price.
