Assassin'S Creed 3D [Blu-ray] [2017]

First things first, an essential disclosure: I'm a veteran Assassin's Creed fan. In fact, I'm currently playing through the digitally re-mastered 'Ezio Collection' on the PS4 Pro (awesome, by the way.) So my critique of the movie will naturally have a different bias to someone who's watching it having never played an AC game.And as for the movie itself? Wow, I was far more impressed than I thought I would be. You see, far from automatically loving any film that has been scripted from a game franchise, I usually hate them for not capturing the soul of the game itself. This one actually does a pretty good job of that. Would I have preferred the narrative to revolve around Ezio Auditore? You betcha. Did that fan-perspective spoil the movie? Nope.Michael Fassbender is great, Jeremy Irons is magnificent. The narrative worked really well, so congrats to the writers of the screenplay (Michael Lesslie, Adam Cooper and Bill Collage) as well.I can't help but feel most of the bad reviews are from fans who really wanted it to be more like the game. That just doesn't really work on screen though, there is a reason that films based on plays say screenplay 'adapted from' rather than just throw the play script at actors. Same goes for game crossovers, only more so.My summing up would have to be to give it a chance. I've seen better films, and many far, far worse. This is a good swashbuckling romp with an interesting narrative. I'm already looking forward to the sequel, with Eizo in a starring role of course...

OK, lets be real here, you can not please everyone, it's impossible, now the bitter and disappointed aside, this film rock's.I'm a fan of the games myself, I play them and have really enjoyed the franchise as a whole, that being said I went into this with an open mind, unlike allot of people I think. over the year's I've learned to separate film from game, if you can do this you can enjoy the films based on games allot better I think.On first viewing the movie I was left feeling a little bit lack lustre, I wasn't really sure if I liked it or not, but upon a second viewing I feel in love with it. you can't fault Fassbender performance, he really, REALLY saves this film with his performance and it did leave me hungry for more.I think thats the fault with all films like this and there's just not enough time in one movie to fully explore everything. I want to know more, do Fassbender and his rag tag team rebuild the brotherhood? what do they do with the apple, basically what the heck happens next?I really, really want a second and third movie to find out more about the charter's because the film feels like the opening act with a promise for so much more which, if they go ahead with a second movie I think they can deliver.

Assassin's Creed tells the rather bonkers story of Callum Lynch, a death row inmate, who when 'executed' wakes up in Abstergo Institute in Madrid and is to be used as a guinea pig in a program that will help the company owners look into the his ancestors past, by strapping Lynch into a device known as the Animus, where he will renact his anscestors actions, all the while the company men and women will be observing and hoping to retrieve an artifact known as the Apple, which supposedly contains the gene code of humanity's disobedience and freewill.Why didn't we notice this crazy plot before? Back in 2008 Assassin's Creed was a game that was lapped up by many gamers and became a must have title on the consoles of the day. Looking at the plot now with the film adapation, it really is totally ridiculous and has a Macguffin that is probably the most laughable in history. Yet this film is so darn admirable and so entertaining that you wonder where has enjoyment from movies gone.The film is a total subliminal guilty pleassure, so much so that you almost feel guilty for enjoying this supposed senseless dreg in the first place. Sure the film has flaws; the present day sections of the film drag come the film's halfway mark, the cinematic syndrome known as shakey cam destroys some of the action scenes set in the past and the cutting to from between present day Madrid and 1492 Andalucia where Callum's ancestor does battle, does hinder the film somewhat. The shakey cam is the biggest culprit since the action scenes look phenomenally choregraphed and would have been a marvel to see, but obviously PG-13 happy editors have hindered this art from being fully shown.Asssassin's Creed has everything going for it casting wise. Michael Fassbender, one of the best actors working today, and who has been attached to this project as producer and star for years, goes through the motions, Marion Cotillard, on the verge of hamming it, survives by giving a straight laced and naive performance, Jeremy Irons, villian extrodinare, does what he does best; and backed up by cameos by Brendan Gleeson and Charlotte Rampling, it is obvious the film is striving for something else. Director Justin Kurzel, the Austrailian indie director of Snowtown, and Macbeth was the seal approval that elevated the films expectations to the stratosphere, admirably Kurzel dives in head on and delivers on the surface a beautiful looking, a phenomenally sounding (Jed Kurzel's score is sensational) utter mess of a film that somehow delivers the entertainment factor and will no doubt give you one of the best times at the cinema, but to do so please leave all your seriousness at home and go for the hell of it.After many delays and announcements, Assassin's Creed finally arrived on our cinema screens. The film that was to change the face of video game adaptations, the film that would finally try and stop the storm of negativity sadly didn't get a chance to. The expectations that were so high literally made the critics hungry for negativity. No matter how great Assassin's Creed was as a game, it was always going to face an uphill struggle with die hard gamers moaning about its differences to the game, and snobbish critics who were just itching to get their laptops and pitchforks and create a bloodbath. This sadly happened, and along with a poor box office, Assassin's Creed's chances for a sequel, which throughly deserved one, are pretty much nill. Assassin's Creed will always remain an oddity, a film where respectability met hand in hand with a reviled genre, and created a film that was polorising, but so entertaining that you wish all blockbusters were like this.

Having never played the game I come to this with fresh eyes and must say whomever made this film should take more games and put them to film This film is a work of genius and is full of action with an intelligent story that will keep you hooked all the way through and michael Fassbender makes his character Callum totally believable. . the story revolves around a group called the Templars whom are a religious group who want to totally control the human race and the main character has the genetic memory of an ancient assassin from the assassin's creed and he knows where an artifact is hidden that will give the Templars control. so they use technology to unlock those memories.Through the film you see Calum (Fassbender) have his mind overtaken by the assassins memories and as they blend together he takes on the personal and he also develops his lethal fighting skills.too. I don't want to give too much away here and for all those whom have played the game just put your brain away and enjoy the film itself. by far this is the best film I have seen in a very very long time and I certainly want more

Concernant l'expédition , la protection du produit pas de problème comme presque toujours chez Amazon.Blu-ray.3D "assassins Creed" je ne connaissais pas. Je le découvre maintenant. Les jeux vidéos ne m'intéressent pas du tout. Ubisoft (français) en à fait d'abord un jeu et après un film. Contre toute attente le film ma plus!.En réalité ce film fait partie d'un lot de BR 3D (7 titres) que j'ai pu acheté car il coutait 50 voire 60% moins cher. Ce ne son pas des nouveautés mais ils sont tous en 3D qui valent entre 25 et 30€ pièces. Là ils étaient au prix de 10-15-17€ maxi et tous dans un coffret "steelbouk" avec le 3D + BR 2D +copie digital.La 3D est très "immersif" dans ce film. La profondeur est présente dans tous les plans. Certaines scènes très spectaculaires .sont très impressionnantes en 3D.Voilà pour l'image , le son en 7.1 DTS-HD est excellent . Si vous avez le matériel pour voir et écoutez ce film en 3D et 7.1 vous ne serez pas déçu et vous passerez un bon moment..Ceci est valable pour les six films sauf pour "Valérian et les mille cités" qui rend moins bien en "3D" que les autres titres .kopcs5220

IMDb.com)Soweit ich recherchieren konnte, wurde der Film nachträglich in 3D konvertiert.BD:Der Disk Menü Ton ist lauter als der Film Ton, der in Deutsch nur in DTS 5.1 vorliegt.Das Bild der BD ist makellos, sehr detailliert, gute Farben und vor allem nicht so düster wie die UHD.Im Vergleich zur 3D-BD erscheint das Bild ein wenig dunkler. Das ist aber mein subjektiver Eindruck.Ansonsten ein schönes plastisches Bild, dem das zugrundeliegende 4K-DI zugutekommt.3D: konvertiertGute Tiefenwirkung, keine Pop Outs, eigentlich keine Bewegungsunschärfe, auch in dunklen Bereichen alle Details erkennbar.Das 3D lässt sich deaktivieren und die BD kann dann auch in 2D geschaut werden. In der vorliegenden 3D-BD sind sie, wie gesagt, gar nicht zu sehen.UHD:Leider scheint es bei UHD-BDs qualitative Unterschiede in der Herstellung der Disk zu geben.Des Öfteren habe ich festgestellt, das UHD-BDs beim Abspielen laut brummen, zumindest während der ersten Kapitel.Bei dieser UHD ist das nicht der Fall. Sie läuft absolut leise und normal.Im Vergleich zu BD und 3D-BD ist das Bild der UHD das dunkelste. Die Kontraste sind sehr hart.In dunklen Bereichen gehen Details stark, wenn nicht sogar völlig verloren. Der Schwarzwert ist hoch, die Farben ein wenig kräftiger.Nur auf der UHD liegt der Ton auf Englisch in Dolby Atmos vor. Dieser ist, im Vergleich zum allgemein verwendeten Deutschen DTS 5.1, sehr gut, selbst bei geringerer Lautstärke.Der Klang ist ausgewogen. Score und Effekte werden auf alle Kanäle verteilt. Teils gibt es den ein, oder anderen dedizierten Deckeneffekt. Der Bass ist nicht ganz so dominant wie bei der DTS Spur, was von Vorteil ist.Man fühlt sich angenehm vom Sound umhüllt. Diese Tonspur ist auf jeden Fall zu bevorzugen. Schade, liegt sie nur auf Englisch und nur auf der UHD-BD vor.Ton: der deutsche Ton liegt, wie bei Fox leider üblich, auf allen 3 Disks nur in DTS 5.1 vor.Der englische Ton liegt auf den BDs in DTS-HDMA 7.1, auf der UHD in Dolby Atmos vor.Der deutsche DTS 5.1 Ton geht gerade noch. Er ist basslastig und die Rear Speaker haben nur gelegentlich zu tun. Ich musste ab und zu genau hinhören, ob sie überhaupt angesprochen werden. Ja. Das werden sie.Die Stimmen aus dem Center Speaker sind, im Vergleich zum Rest, zu leise.Es ist sehr schade, dass Fox auch bei den höher- und hochpreisigen Medien BD und UHD immer noch nur auf den alten DVD Ton zurückgreift.Was bleibt unter dem Strich?:Mit dem Film ist ein sehr schöne Video Game Adaption gelungen, die auch ohne Vorkenntnis der Spiele funktioniert.Gut choreographierte Stunts, viel Action, prima gefilmt.Gut umgesetzt: Die Wechsel zwischen der kalten sterilen technischen Wirklichkeit und der rauen, schmutzigen und brutalen Welt der Vergangenheit.Was stört ist das AR 2.39:1 welches beim 3D schlecht für die Immersion ist, da das Bild entsprechend verkleinert wird.Ebenfalls störte mich die Tonlautstärke des Disk Menüs: Bei alle drei Versionen ist diese lauter als der Film Ton.Des Weiteren gefiel es mir nicht, dass die Szenen mit Aguilar im Spanien des 15. Jahrhunderts nur in spanischer Sprache mit Untertiteln sind und dadurch eine stete Ablenkung vom Bild besteht. Der dramaturgische Vorteil ist mir hier nicht ganz klar. Aber ich bin mir sicher, dafür gibt es eine ganz schlaue Erklärung. Mir gefiel es jedenfalls nicht.Insgesamt gefällt mir der Film aber gut. Das 3D macht Spaß. Der Film funktioniert auch beim wiederholten Anschauen.Die Anschaffung der UHD-BD lohnt fast nicht. Das dunkle Bild mit den harten Kontrasten verleiht dem Film zwar mehr Härte, verspielt aber Details in dunklen Bereichen. Der englische Atmos Sound ist allerdings klasse. Ob das die Anschaffung rechtfertigt sei mal dahingestellt.Für Freunde des Abenteuer-Action-Fantasy Films ist er allemal empfehlenswert.
