Great camping toilet! Provide your own disposal bags
This toilet is very sturdy, compact, sanitary, environmentally friendly and functional. It has been a major improvement in my camping experience. I also have a Thetford two chamber flushing toilet which I am going to leave at home most of time now except for when I camp at the one place that I am aware of that requires that style of toilet (Lone Rock Beach, Lake Powell Utah). The Thetford is a pain to wash when I get home and because everything is liquid, is slightly prone to transportation disasters. The turbo toilet is much smaller to pack, takes seconds to clean up and dispose of the waste, stows quickly in its handy case and is very unlikely to result in a disaster particularly if you dehydrate and double bag as I describe below.I have camped all my life and I am familiar and practiced at all the major methods of outdoor relief (Grab and Go, Over the Log Dangle, Back Brace and of course the Power Squat) but none of these are very fun and they all leave a mess in the environment. I like a throne and the Turbo Toilet allows for a relaxing constitutional providing sufficient comfort for some light reading or just contemplating the wonder of the great outdoors. Clean up is a breeze and you will be doing the environment and particularly the next camper a huge favor. I highly recommend it!At 250 lbs and 59 years of age, it is a little low and awkward to sit down. I can do it but I prefer to raise the height. Most of the places I camp are in the desert southwest and are either rocky or sandy. I can often find a flat rock to give the throne a little extra height. Barring that I use my camping trowel https://www.amazon.com/Coghlans-8408-Backpackers-Trowel/dp/B000BS05Z6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1471436660&sr=8-1&keywords=camping+trowel to build a little mound which raises the seat and lowers my feet. It amazes me that something which folds can feel so sturdy but there is not a hint of a wobble or any fear that it will collapse. It is rated for 330 lbs and I believe it.I am less enthusiastic about their waste handling system which in my opinion is somewhat over-priced, seems a bit flimsy and not quite up to the dehydration task. Fortunately these problems are easily solved. The bags that come with the toilet and also with the refill kit are OK but in my opinion are expensive ($1 each) and a little flimsy. In fairness I never had one leak or break. I am just using the Costco brand of tall kitchen bags as a replacement and they are very cheap and seem stronger. I have never had one of them leak either. For transportation in my vehicle, I believe that the waste must be DOUBLE bagged and for this purpose I use plastic Trash Compactor bags that I buy at Walmart. They are more expensive but are very thick walled, strong and tough. The extra price is cheap insurance for your vehicle upholstery. I put a few of them into the toilet's handy carrying case. I line the toilet first with the compactor bag and then with the kitchen bag which will save cleaning the toilet material (zipper removable if cleaning is necessary) if the thinner bag leaks. The thinner bag gets replaced as needed while the compactor bag stays in place until it is time to double bag the accumulated collection of thinner bags. The powder they provide for jellying the waste is amazing stuff at absorbing liquids but I don't believe the doses are quite sufficient. I am pretty sure that the secret ingredient is Diaper Polymer https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PIS4V22/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which you can buy from Amazon or E-bay and is the same stuff used in baby diapers and which a couple of decades ago caused toxic shock syndrome when used in tampons. One pound will supposedly absorb up to 1600 ounces of distilled water so a little goes a very long way. It is not quite so effective on urine and even less so on solid waste. The 1 lb jar comes with a tiny scoop and I put in one scoop in a fresh bag and one scoop after each recycled Coors Light that goes in the bag. Finally, I think cat litter is the best way to handle solid waste. I am a fan of Fresh Step Crystals because while they are more expensive, in my opinion, they do the best job of controlling odor and dehydrating the solids. I put in a cup in a fresh bag and another cup over the top of a fresh pile. The bag gets tied closed and changed after the morning constitutionals for two people. In any case, the toilet is great but you can save money and handle the waste better if you just do your own thing for bagging the waste.

solid metal hinges pops up and then collapses easily. i was dubious about ordering this
this is one is HEAVY duty portable pot. inner framework of 4 thick, solid metal hinges pops up and then collapses easily. i was dubious about ordering this, but it appears to be one of the better purchases i've made recently on amazon. rare to get a product that actually exceeds expectations. heavy, well made outer carry case, inner fabric liner zips neatly out to wash, all fabric is good quality, water-repelling sort (plasticy, somewhere between tent and tarp material), seat is hefty and solid... does what a bucket potty does but takes up WAY less space. does what a folding chair type potty does but way sturdier. well-designed. well-done.

Good design and I think much better then the folding plastic leg designs, we'll see if it holds up over time. It is a bit of a gymnast move to sit on this being so low to the ground so I picked up a Rubbermaid RM-PL1W Folding 1-Step Plastic Stool to put underneath it. That put the seat just about only 1 inch higher then the seat on the standard commode in the house.

ALMOST perfect!
I have a small teardrop camper with no bathroom, and this is perfect for my shower/pottie tent! It folds down so that it doesn't take nearly the room that a bucket would, but it is also quite strong, and I think it would take a LOT of weight to make it collapse. Before I bought this one, I had one of the tripod type seats, but got sick and tired of wrestling with folding up the legs (one of which broke during one of the struggles!) Like one of the other reviewers said, the powder doesn't do much as far as absorbing liquids, so in the future, I'll buy my own trashbags, throw in some kitty litter, and use diaper polymer to absorb the liquid. My only complaints are easily solved: (1) it IS low, but you can certainly sit it on something stable to raise it a few inches, and (2) It doesn't have a lid. Like someone else mentioned in a review, I really dislike walking into a potty tent with an open potty, but you can lay the zipup cover over the top as sort of a makeshift toilet lid. All in all, I'm really pleased with this little toilet! Takes up very little room, works well, and no messy cleanup!

THIS IS A GODSEND
THIS IS A GODSEND for my family member who frequently has to do "the number 2" at a drop of a hat, as a result surgery for colorectal cancer.I've researched plenty of other portable adult commodes, bought some of them too, and even custom-build my own out of coroplast, but none of those came close to the Turbo Toilet in terms of:Sturdiness - built like a tank!Compactness - fits under a car seat, in a carry-on luggage, day pack, and even a messenger bag.Quick deploy - It pops up in less than a second. If I pre-load it with a bag liner and absorbent powder (or kitty litter), it takes me less than 10 seconds to turn it from fully packed in its zipper case to a fully functional commode. On the downside, this isn't very light. I wouldn't take it for long distance hiking, but it's still perfect for road trips or a short-medium walk to a secluded fishing/camping spot.

you'll love it. I LOVE it
Man, let me tell you, you'll love it. I LOVE it. It comes with little bags. That is amazing. It is strong as heck. That is amazing. It is so small and hides away so easily in my van.I'm very happy over here.

A Bit of a "Low Boy". . .
This little toilet is EXTREMELY STURDY. I was a little hesitant to buy it at first, but boy was I surprised when it got it! The only issue is that it is exactly 9-1/2 inches high from extreme top to bottom when fully deployed, and that is much lower than a standard toilet, which is 14-18" high. If one has arthritis or knee problems, you may need some form of assistance (a cane, trekking pole, or staff) to use this. I will have to sit it on some sort of platform to bring it to a reasonable height to use it (I am looking at a "bath step" or a folding Rubbermaid step stool, for example). Another drawback is that it has no 'lid' or cover, so to keep disturbing odors down it would probably be most advisable to remove and dispose of contents immediately.
