No strings are more durable, but playability could be issue for some
I started playing tennis sometime in the 6th grade, more than a decade ago, and I've been using the Prince Problend Duraflex 16 ever since. I am a lefty (not that it matters) that has a good amount of topspin with power (now only if I can get it consistently in) so I was a chronic tennis string breaker. As a sidenote, I use a Pro Staff 6.1 95 Classic (more than a decade old) and string at a higher than recommended tension of 62lbs.I've tried Technifibre strings (not sure which ones but they were red) as well as Wilson NXT 16. I didn't like the Technifibre because it felt too bouncy and didn't like the feel. The Wilson NXT 16 hit great, but then the string started to shred only after about an hour of intense play and that got me nervous thinking the strings would break. I was told by many tennis friends that when the NXT 16 begins to shred, that is actually when the strings are played at its best. Based on that, I'll give it another try. I've also been told by many that the Problend Duraflex is VERY unplayable due to the fact that the strings are made of kevlar (bullet proof material). However, I've never had issues, but it could be because I'm so used to it.Although I love these strings and will forever be a fan as well as being in the market to try new strings (perhaps the Wilson NXT 16 again), I would only recommend these for someone who consistently breaks strings. It's tough to get a feel and have a level of comfortness with the Problend Duraflex, but the upside is that the control you get from these strings are amazing. If you generate enough power on your own, then give these strings a try.
