Super Sony!
This is a great camera. The quality of both stills and video is excellent. It has been relatively easy to set up and I have been able to Bluetooth pictures from the camera to my iPhone 7 Plus.So here goes...First download two free apps.1. Imaging edge mobile2. Movie edit add on3. Then having put the camera battery in start setting up.4. I plugged it in to do this. You charge the battery through the camera.5. Then read the instructions. This is when I hit a snag. I thought you scanned the QR code on the instructions but actually you SCAN THE QR CODE ON THE CAMERA SCREEN!6. The screens on the camera are how you work most things out with the Imaging Edge mobile app.7. I then just messed about with the screens and instructions and apps. You can save key functions to a favourites screen. That helped!8. It’s basically quite straightforward9. I then attached the handle. You take off the USB cover- that means it’s not sealed. There is another cover in the box for the usb. When this handle is on the camera it does not appear to be waterproof.10. The handle means you can easily take photos, zoom and video. This is superb and easy to use.11. You can use this handle if left or right handed.12. The camera itself is small but without the handle it is still easy to hold and use due to its ridged body.13. It’s really small like a GO PRO14. It comes with two batteries15. YOU NEED A MICRO SD MEMORY CARD AS THIS ISNT INCLUDED.16. The camera is really fast to turn on and to start videoing and take pictures. So is this super and superb? YES IT IS!I’ve found it really enjoyable to use..easy to throw the images to the iPhone.Overall...so far...it’s great! I still have loads to learn about it and will update if I find out anything else...It’s crush proof...waterproof and very hardy...it’s metal and really well made!It has a second small handle ( microphone and accessory bracket) for a microphone or light source... but I don’t have them so haven’t tested that. It recorded sound really well on the videos I have taken. So super!!

Far too small and expensive
I'm a very keen photographer and was excited to see this product available to me to review as I was in the market for a new camera. However when I unpacked it from the box I was shocked at how small it is. In my opinion it's too small. I believe it has a host of features but it's so tiny I can't fathom out how it all works, there are very limited buttons on it and even though I'm actually a professional photographer and know my way around a camera, I find this model really tricky to do anything with other than the most basic picture taking. As is always the case these days there is no manual with it, you have to download one, but I usually manage to work them out easily enough. Not so with this. That said, for basic photography, taking snaps in the swimming pool on holiday it proved useful, It claims to be waterproof and shockproof, we didn't test the shockproof claim but it's certainly waterproof. We had it fully submerged to take some underwater shots , and it was fine, it spent most of its time above and under water in the pool. The screen isn't great in bright sunshine, I could barely see what I was taking the photos of but we managed, and the resulting photos are fairly clear and sharp.Battery life is not the best, we had it fully charged and used it on and off for a few snaps on a couple of days before it died. It does come with two batteries which is a bonus, but these take a while to charge, and this is done within the camera unit itself so you couldn't use one battery while the other charges.I've since bought another Sony camera, more of a regular sized compact camera which I love, as this RX0 II model is too small and too limiting for me. I'm sure for vlogging and the like it may be a great buy but from a photography point of view I don't like it. The only bonus is that it's waterproof so useful to take to the beach or the pool on holiday but other than that I don't see any real advantage to it. The minute size is a handicap rather than a useful feature and I can't see in any way how it's worth its hefty price tag.

Reet petite but ...
Well there is no denying that this is a teeny toty camera. It's the smallest one I've seen outside a Christmas cracker. But that's a blessing and a curse. Yes, it's great that you can use an extremely powerful camera without lugging around a beastful of equipment. But, oh my, it's really, really fiddly. To be fair, it works straight out of the box but if you're spending this kind of money you're going to want to play about with it. Well, not with my normal sized fingers. The no fiddling pictures were certainly bright and clear and the handle attachment means you can take those all important selfies. Sigh. Downsides are the screen which was almost impossible to see outside so it really was a question of click and hope for the best. I also reckon at this price they should be including a Micro SD card. You know, the thing you actually save the images to. It may come with a spare battery but without storage it's useless. I know you can 128GB for under £20 nowadays but that just makes the absence more annoying. Bottom line, will this replace the many other cameras I've got floating around? Probably not. But for someone with pianist fingers, 20/20 vision and a desire to show off, then this will do just fine.
