This is without question the best deal of the year for the price!
Purchased for just $150 on sale makes this the best deal of the year!Out of the box it definitely does not reach 200 mph but I’m sure once it’s broken in and the carb is tweaked it should be fine.I broke down and bought the recommended over priced $10 a litre fuel premix to be fair in my testing. The pack is a little on the heavy side which is expected with the engine size. The primer ball is in the worst location ever behind the fuel lines which is not convenient at all.Storage is horrible and takes up a lot of space which is no fault of the design. Just the nature of the product.I thoroughly researched this before buying it and after reading some of the problems some people were experiencing I decided to spring for the extended warranty for just $14. Hopefully I will be one of the lucky ones that won’t need it but for just $14. It’s cheap peace of mind.My guess is a lot of those folks having problems are using a low grade fuel or oil which two strokes are very sensitive to. ONLY buy the best fuel and oil you can! This is not like a lawnmower that you can use cheap two year old gas in!So far I am very happy with it but it is winter here so I won’t be able to give it a real run until the snow is gone. Which by the way works great on snow if it’s not hard packed! If this was helpful please let me know by clicking the helpful button below. Thanks

It's not perfect, but it's better than 4 stars
If I could give this machine a 4.5 star rating I would. It's not perfect, but it's better than 4 stars, hence MY 5 star rating. I refuse to error on the lower side of life, and will always be a glass half full kind of person, so take that as you may. I've only used the machine 3 times in the week I've owned it. A few things that I REALLY LIKE about the machine.A. PRICE. I paid 196ish... for this backpack leaf blower, at the time of this review, and it is the cheapest I've seen.1. Overall look (black and yellow) for me is very appealing and SHARP. What can I say? Aesthetics are not near as important as function, but I.M.O. this is the best looking backpack leaf blower on the market! It just looks good.2. The backpack is lightweight and I've used it for MULTIPLE hours with ease of use, and overall comfort.3. The gas tank allows the machine to run on heavy use for a long time. It lasted at least an hour and half full bore, and more like 2 and half on moderate use for me.4. The response from the trigger is instant and easily adjusted and maintained with cruise control.5. The hose is screwed together and will not come apart easily like other blowers I've used in the past.6. The backpack itself is fairly compact and easily stored. The minor annoyances (not bad) just annoyances.1. The directions to put the machine together are about as good as the charmin extra soft you use to wipe your @** with. It took me 15 minutes and it should've taken about 3. For goodness sakes people why don't companies jump into the 21st century and just post a youtube video of one of the company members putting their product together out of the box? Would it be that hard?2. The machine is LOUD. The backpack is right by your ears. You will probably want hearing protection, but it is a 48 cc engine and you have to sacrifice a little loudness for the extra horses to run.3. The machine has fired up for me every single time using the instructions to start it. Instructions read "pump the primer bulb 6 times, pull choke out, pull cord three times, pump 4 more times, pull 3 times and push choke in".... or close to that.... you see where I'm going with this. It's just like every other 2 cycle engine out their. They sometimes can be a pain to start. I haven't had any issues with it, and if memory serves correctly .... it fired up after the 6 pumps and second pull ,all 5 or 6 times I've started it now, but time will tell if it remains easy to start. I'd love to see some kind of electric start, but for under $200.00 that will probably never happen.4. The power is tough for me. It does the job well. I've been able to move fairly large piles of leaves, small sticks, and very small rocks at moderate distances.... but I guess I just figured with a 48cc engine, at full bore, I'd need to brace myself for the amount of force coming out.... This is not the case. It's powerful enough to get what I need done, but I wasn't WOWED by all the power. I'd love to see the test results of the box stated 200MPH.5. I wish poulan made some kind of wall storage, for this unit. It's kind of tough to stow because the extension is long and obtruse.None of these minor annoyances are worth taking a whole star off. I love the machine and hope it lasts me many MANY seasons. I will update the review if needed.

Nice unit
Can't speak to longevity, but unit is lightweight, seems well made, and is powerful enough for most homeowner's needs. On sale it is considerably less expensive than Echo, Stihl, etc. Have had a Poulan handheld gas blower for many years with no issues. Decided to use non-ethanol gas exclusively along with full synthetic oil (50:1) in this unit. Have the idea that ethanol gas may cause carb problems if the unit is not used frequently. Only time was will tell.

Great Leaf Blower - update
I live in the country, it's beautiful however during the fall there's always tons of leaves. I have owned two other backpack blowers and they have been adequate, but eventually failed. This one is exceptional.. It's light, powerful and had no issues moving wet leaves and other garden debris. I have used it for one season and I'm extremely pleased with its performance. The Poulan starts easy, is comfortable to wear and very easy to use. It has outperformed all my previous units, I have no hesitation in highly recommending this blower.(Update) Used it for a second season, lots of rain and wet leaves. This blower started effortlessly after a year in storage.. Had tons of leaves this year, they proved to be no issue for this machine..This is by far the best blower I've ever owned.(Update) 2022/2023 This leaf blower is still going strong. The performance is great. Five years in and all it's needed is gas.. I would definitely buy another if this one ever breaks.. So it might be a while.. Highly recommended!
