Ribbon Organics OMRI Certified Organic Compost Size: 7.9 Gallons, 32-35 Pound Bag

I have a very large collection of Clivias, Orchids and Epiphyllums in CONTAINERS. Over the last few decades I have tried just about every bagged potting soil mix that has been produced. Almost all had problems, or were not worth the money.This Ribbon Organics Compost is outstanding! Very rich and easily moistened with NO smell. I use 1/2 of this, along with 1/4 perlite and 1/4 orchid bark for my potting mixture, and the combination is perfect to keep enough moisture in the mix, while still allowing air circulation.I've tried Miracle Grow mixtures several times - and each time there have been fungus gnats/eggs in their mixes, multiplying so fast the almost destroyed my collection - until I stopped watering for 2 weeks to completely dry out the soil, killing the live gnats and their eggs.I've also tried several brands of "acid soil mix" for the type of plants I have. A couple of those brands were 'allergic' to water. I could pour water into the pots 20 times - and the soil would not retain ANY water, remaining completely dry.So, while this product IS very expensive, it IS worth it to me.

Been using this for 2 years now and it's great compost. Very clean and so rich! Plants love it! I even sent my brother a bag and his garden is the best it's been in a few years. I don't think it's expensive when you factor in how wonderful this compost is! And size of bag is really big! Great value for your money! Get ya some..you won't regret it!

This compost is great. I am glad I found this family company. Looking forward to purchasing more.

Arrived quickly. More importantly, I added this media in my garden as a topper. Two days later, my entire garden looked more vibrant. I couldn't believe my eyes as I didn't add anything otherwise. I will definitely continue to use this product. It's a little pricey, but so are the plants used in my garden. Well worth it!

Great for garden refresh

The media could not be loaded. This compost looks nice, rich and dark. There were worms and bugs crawling throughout the compost, so that's a great sign. The cost is on the higher end for a smaller bag than expected (the bags are a nice size not small per se, just smaller than what I've seen at a big box store or my local nursery, for about half the price) but I am excited to see how my little garden thrives with this compost !

Didn't know quite to expect. I've bought several brands in the past but was just never impressed with them. But this one, WOW! So dark and rich and "workable". I didn't find any small chunks of anything that hadn't yet "digested" and no bad odors whatsoever. Love this stuff!

There are no words strong enough to express how delighted I was to open this bag of compost. It was black and rich, smelled “earthy” rather than putrid, and it had NO sticks/plastic/metal/glass anywhere to be found in the bag. This compost was worth every cent! I wish I could afford to fill my raised bed with it, but I’ll definitely be using more next season to augment what I’ve already got.
