locks in tightly under my flatbed, with a bit of forethought on placement it is problem free. I added a large hook secured with bolt and rubber grommet to keep the hook in place and prevent the ladder from deploying while driving. Ive forgotten to stow away the ladder and drove with it deployed. It doesnt pose much if any risk to anything. Also does not rattle even when driving down bumpy dirt roads. For 100 bucks this is a must have tool for anyone with a higher than stock flatbed.. ill get some pics of the ladder hook for those who want to easily secure their ladder. Its really just a preventative measure for peace of mind. When installed properly you wont need it.

We have purchased this ladder a few times. It gets mounted to the short flatbeds of some of our work trucks. It works great and is very sturdy. It lasts years through rough weather including salt and sanding during the winter months.

The buyers products folding ladder seems well built and is easy to climb up and down. Stored position angles down at a 45 degree angle. I can’t say I would trust it to stay in place rolling down the highway at 65 without modifications. After drilling and installing on my Chevy kodiak I was disappointed in its overall design. After some modifications the ladder in the stored position is completely flat, or parallel to the floor of the body, and folds down to a 15 degree angle. By doing this it eliminates the need for a extra support to hold the ladder flat in the stored position. Initially I was disappointed in its design but after some re-engineering it suits my needs perfectly.

Could use a means of supporting the ladder horizontal when in the stowed position as well as a means of locking it in place when stowed but in all very well constructed.
