Safari Ltd. Starfish Figurine - Vibrant 4.5" Sea Star Figure - Educational Toy for Boys, Girls, and Kids Ages 3+

Ever since I built this new mailbox, I have been looking for various different things to accessorise the whole nautical look. The 2 things that I want to do add to this mailbox, was a starfish and a crab in the net. I have not had too much luck on finding one up until I found this one here on Amazon. My biggest concern was would it be too large or too small. As it turns out it came out to be the perfect size that I was looking for. And never mind on how realistic it looks too. I just hope that it will be able to withstand the elements and look good for a long time. And by the way this starfish has a name now. I've decided to name him Patrick. Now I just have to add the crab and the whole nautical mailbox will be complete.

My granddaughter carries the real dried starfish around whenever she visits. This is an identical size and now she has her very own. She carries it everywhere.

The star fish was really cool, but I do think for the price there should have been two instead of one, perhaps a different kind of starfish, but still really nice. The size was fine, some had mixed feelings about size, but I think it was more just one starfish in relations to cost. Two star fish would clear that issue up and two different ones would make the deal 5+ stars. Still a very necessary component in the display and the ABSOLUTE best part is that no real live stock was endangered creating this little star. Our oceans are depleting and after all the years of having tanks; I can honestly say they should stay in the ocean. I feel it is an injustice to bring them into our homes for the sake of looking at them. They are Amazing, but shouldn't be subject to cramped quarters, non compatible companions, death early from a power outage and all you need to do is see that once to know it is a heart wretching experience. Also Beginners, how many fish does one need to loose before they realize that it just wasn't right to have an aquarium in the first place and how about the children that don't care for them after mom & dad or some other family member buys them for the child. Best to do them Justice leaving them in the Ocean. So these Realistic, Rubbery Plastic ones are Really a cool way to learn about these creatures and then to have a book along side it to read about them. In any case, I love these replicas and think they are a Great Replacement for the actual Live Stock.

This starfish is better than I anticipated. I bought it for two reasons: 1. My toddler is interested in starfish. 2. I wanted to use it as decor for a pirate-themed party. I expected a hard plastic sculpture-type toy, but in fact it is somewhat soft. It feels almost realistic. My kid was really impressed with it, and it will work perfectly for the party. It is well-made, and I'm sure it will last a long time.

Very cute but a lot smaller than I thought it was going to be. There is no size listed in the post so I didn't know what size it was going to be. Somewhat disappointed.

I am very happy with this starfish replica. the size seems to be the size of a real starfish. And it really looks like a starfish. It is exactly what I wanted.

MY DAUGHTER WANTED SOME OCEAN TOYS THAT WERE MORE GIRLY. SHE LOVED FEELING THE DIFFERENT STAR FISH WHEN WE WENT ON VACATION DURING THE SUMMER TO A FEW OCEAN AQUARIUMS. SHE LOVES PLAYING WITH HER MERMAID AND THIS STAR FISH AND I LOVE THAT ITS VERY DETAILED AND ALMOST FEELS LIKE A REAL STARFISH. I DIDN'T THINK IT WAS TOO SMALL COMPARE TO SOME OF THE REVIEWS. OUR DAUGHTER IS 5YRS OLD AND I THINK ITS A GOOD SIZE FOR HER.

Safari makes great figures/toys. They are durable and well made, and fairly heavy. I like toys that are substantial and hold up to kids wear and tear. I've bought several Safari animals and they are all wonderful. This starfish was requested by my daughters and as expected it was a really nice toy.
