A very practical tutorial - highly recommended
The author sets a goal of being able to read the book in 112 minutes. It took me a little longer, but not too much. So, the book is a quick read. What do you get? First, don't let "artificial intelligence and machine learning" intimidate you. He walks the reader through score cards, decision trees (a little light on this), neural networks and deep learning with a light, but instructive, touch. I felt that I had a basic grasp of how each of these predictive models worked. No math and the essence of these models is math, but this is for an overview, not for a data scientist. So, who ought to read this? The book title includes the words "For Business." I think that is the author's audience. If you're in business, but not a data scientist, and probably not a math or statistics whiz, but you're people who are whizzes in math and stats want to implement artificial intelligence systems (and every time I check out at the grocery store and am given coupons, I encounter these sorts of systems). then I recommend this book for you. Without a large investment of time, you'll have some grasp of the strengths and weaknesses of artificial intelligence and machine learning. The intimidation factor will be removed, or at least greatly diminished. The author offers some valuable tips. As between making sure that you've got the best data that you can get or having the best algorithm that you can get, the author values data improvement over algorithm advancement, if you're operating on a limited budget. How long might it take to get some IT projects functioning? Dr. Finlay offers guidance. If you're in business and you or your employees are thinking of implementing these types of software systems, I strongly recommend that you spend the two hours with this book. It will de-mystify the area, possibly improve your decision, and maybe save you some money.

Very Insightful!
I read this book coming from a more technical background and working in a company that is in the beginning stages of discussing ML and AI. This book provided great insight into how a project or new implementation should be approached to provide fruitful results. I would recommend to technical and non-technical readers looking into ML and AI in real life scenarios.

This is an excellent read that explains AI and Machine Learning in layman’s terms that makes theoretical and practical sense. The author is very good at putting complex terms and concepts associated AI, predictive analytics, statistics, and so on into everyday language that most can understand. If you are beginning research on AI and Machine Learning this book is a great place to start.

Great into to Machine Learning
As a physician involved in using large databases and predictive analytics, this was an excellent overview of the topic in readily digestible format. This is an excellent resource for those involved in such areas as Performance Improvement and Population Health, as it gives good insight into the basics of many of the software systems we utilize.

No non-sense entry to machine learning with no technical prerequisites
This book delivers on its promise as in its title. It explains the pivotal business case and decisions to take on while embarking on a machine learning project. It is also an entry to the subject, so advanced readers can skip it.
