KOHLERK-3987-96 Wellworth Two-Piece Round-Front Dual-Flush Toilet with Class Five Flush System and Left-Hand Trip Lever, Biscuit

With the ever increasing cost of "city" water, we went looking for new toilets since our house has three of them. We settled on this model due to the Kohler brand and the Wellworth reputation. This model is replacing Mansfield #160, which is also 1.6Gpf. There are a number of 1.28Gpf models available, but we wanted something with 1.1Gpf for the light loads and 1.6Gpf for the heavy loads. Statistically speaking, over 80% of the time you really only need to use the 1.1Gpf mode, which will end up saving a bunch of water and ultimately money out of our pockets.The installation was very easy to do and only requires a couple of basic tools. Just be sure that everything is tightened-up before turning on the water. We have no issues with the operation and the unit seems very well built. Since this toilet did not come with a seat, we paired it with a Bemis 600E3, which works perfectly.Both the bowl and the tank came packaged separately and both were strap-tied to a pallet that was conveniently delivered by ABF to our door. The packaging was very, very good and there were no physical blemishes on either the bowl or the tank.So far we are liking the toilet over all and are currently waiting for Amazon stock to replenish so that we can order two more.

I bought this toilet to save water, i was tired of plunging from my pre-teen son and I didn't want a seat so far off the ground I felt as if I was going to the bathroom at a nursing home..We have not had a clog since we installed this toilet and it uses way less water. The flushing system is nifty, it has one handle but two levers, there is a longer green lever for just liquids and then a shorter chrome lever for solids, both push down like a regular toilet handle. I talked to a Kohler rep before buying the toilet and she said the green lever was just liquids no TP, but my wife and girls find a tinkle with just a little TP works fine with the green lever. Install was a breeze - two bolts on the floor, then the tank has three bolts that connect it to the base, standard size hose from water supply to tank.It does not come with a seat, but my previous toilet had a standrad round seat and it fit perfectly on this toilet .If you want a dual flush toilet with a lot of flushing power and you don't want to be sitting high in the air this is the toilet you should buy.

As perfect as it gets! I purchased this to replace a "comfort" height toilet that I hated. You are not supposed to go to the bathroom while practically standing!This one is still a little higher than our old one, but this is about as low as is available within our price range.It flushes great and I like that there are 2 handles for flushing. Does the job. Easy to install.

I wanted a dual flush toilet for my new home now that they have converted all toilets to the lesser amount of water being used to flush.I used the lower volume toilets in Germany when I lived there and I had to clean the toilets almost every time I used them for other than just liquid. Boy, did I miss my American toilet. When I saw the American standard siphonic flush toilet, I thought it was cool to have the flush on the top but I am dyslexic, my husband is too and I have a 2 year old who is just learning so I am not sure if she is or not, plus, I didn't want to teach visitors each time they came over which button did what. This one comes with a green and a chrome flush lever so it helps people who have never used one before. It is siphonic flush too and it is cheaper than any siphonic flush toilet I've seen in stores or online. I saw the American Standard at the store and it was too different than a normal toilet for me. The bowl was the same width as the seat and I just didn't like the looks. This one is more sculpted so I took my chances. It is beautiful. If you don't want the 2 color levers, you can order 3 different types of levers that come in bronze, etc to match your needs. The hole is wider than regular toilets which would be nice for people who use the toilet seat up but it fits standard seats as well so you don't have to spend a bunch of money on a special seat. I loved this so much, I bought another one. They are packaged so they could probably be dropped from the 2nd story and not be hurt. It said 4 to 6 weeks to deliver the 2nd one but it will be here in 2. I'd wait the 4 to 6 if I had to. It's worth it. Don't get a non-siphonic flush or you'll have to flush a few times plus clean a lot more. Don't use automatic cleaners in this toilet either. It has a special finish to help clean itself that advises against the things you put in the bowl to clean it automatically. I couldn't be happier.

I had some very specific space limitations - Also some “must have” requirements. This toilet met all of that and it functions very well. I did special order a flushing lever from Kohler so that it matched the rest of my bathroom. The green plastic lever that came with the toilet has been stowed away in case something should happen to the oil rubbed bronze lever that was installed. I would recommend this toilet to anyone looking for a replacement and wants to save on water consumption. It was delivered to my front door in a matter of a few days in perfect condition. Installation was easy.

It does not come with the toilet seat. I should’ve read the details carefully. However it is a great product and so far it hasn’t given any problems and was very easy to install. Purchased a toilet seat at a nearby store.

Terrible quality control and customer service! Worst of all, eFaucet replied me to refuse returning since it was installed! But how can I know it is so noising without installing it? I wasted hundred dollars installation fee by myself already but they even refused refunding toilet fee to me!!! Also, it was shipped to me without toilet seat, and argue I didn’t read carefully – Amazon picture showed the seat on! Nobody thinks about checking it before installation, it is very inconvenient when you couldn't find toilet seat anywhere after it was installed! I have to match a seat by myself even if there is no flushing noisy issue! Terrible experiences, and please never purchase KOHLER brand from eFaucet any more.
