Works very well, doesn't irritate sensitive skin when used in moderation.
Does the job on dingy whites! I've been using nothing but soap nuts on our laundry for years now, and while this has made laundry a much nicer process (no more itching for my very sensitive skin; no more lugging around chemical liquids or powder; and approximately £7/year on soap nuts instead of detergent for our two-person household) it doesn't do much for whites, as anything 'natural' won't contain optical brighteners.Over time, the white linens have therefore become rather sad and dingy (read: my mother would be disappointed in me), so I bought this product in the hopes of reviving them. My biggest hesitation was the very strong scent of this product as I'm unfortunately very sensitive to laundry powder in general (hence the soap nuts!), and so I was worried this would irritate my skin.I'm very happy to report that it hasn't irritated my skin (even without a second rinse cycle) but it has restored the whites. Note that none of the laundry had any sort of specific set-in stains. It wasn't an instant process, but there was a noticeable difference after the first round (I let the linens soak in the recommended ratio of product for several hours, again as recommended). I've been putting this in every subsequent round of whites (I use a conservative half scoop for a full load) and all my linens are now a pristine, uniform white. It doesn't do particularly well on food stains (to be fair, it was stupid of me to be handling tomato sauce in a white tee...) even over time, as these should probably be treated with stain-specific pre-wash items instead. That being said, it's been a great addition to my laundry routine. The scent does linger on dry clothes, but is unlikely to be something that anyone who uses standard scented laundry products would notice. (It is quite strong in the tub, and moderately strong on dry clothes, for anyone who has a particular sensitivity/aversion to artificially scented products. I don't believe the company make an unscented version of this?)I did accidentally stick a pink towel in with my white towels once and even though the pink towel was several years old and therefore way past the point of staining anything, this product did induce a slight dye release and therefore that batch of white towels got very lightly tinted pink (only noticeable when set against other white towels). I'm hoping that with time this will whiten them up again, but something to be aware of!Also, as it's not always clear, do use this with hot water: while I tend to use a cool laundry cycle on my colours, with this you want a minimum of 50C (I use 50 on clothes, 95 on towels & linens) and a long cycle in order to give it time to work. If you pop it in a quick cold wash, you will not get the results you want.

Well that was a susprise...
I've got a lot of white t-shirts/polo shirts, mostly a polyester blend/100%. These are sports (F1 etc) shirts, so loads of logos, embroidered, embossed, transfers etc.All these tops over the years had developed dark patches, maybe from oils or just general ware and tear against the eliments. To the point where I was going to bin the lot.One last try at getting them clean after attempting staindevils and patch rubbing/soaking with non bio and bio cleaners.Bought a tub of this stuff which is mainly good for whites I believe but had read colours won't start fading. What did I have to lose.I soaked a top first for about an hour then stuck it through the wash. It came out pretty good and was impressed. So I got all my white (with colour including black sleeves and hundreds of logos printed on) and dumped them in a sink of warm water (measuring out so I didn't over/underdo the chemical balance).I soaked for about three hours. Then stuck on a loooong wash again with added Vanish and detergents. The finish floored me. I actually didn't think it would work. OK so, they're not 100% however, I've dried and done this a second time and they've come out almost brand new. All logos, prints etc survived. This stuff really worked for me and I will now use every so often on whites. Might even let the kids have some on their school shirts...The only downside. The chemical during and after hand watching leaves your hands feeling slimey and possibly not good for them long term. Use gloves would be my advice.Well done Vanish peeps.

Standing order
I have this as a regular delivery as I put it in each white wash. There is no real smell to it and I feel that it brings up my whites nice and clean. I cannot say that it makes previously dull whites any better however it is keeping my pristine white sheets a nice crisp white
