What I like about this product is that it provides (at least for me) instant pain relief. The pressure it gives is substantial. I used it with the padding it brings (you can remove it) and without it.Without it, its intense therefore I put the padding back on until my back adapts (i have A LOT of tension so less is more because of the sensitivityin my back) My pain is from a 2012 car accident and post surgery (explained below) Keep in mind it depends on the severity of pain one has. Im not saying Im cured and I know the tension may come back due to a pre-existing condition from the accident but to get relief using it daily is a HUGE help. Granted, I recently bought the Shiatsu. My mother (she has a herinated disc for years) and I have been using it since it was delivered on Sept 10, 2019. I am 2 wks post op of Abdominal surgery which requires me to walk hunched over for 2 wks. That caused me to have a major knot in my back. Im used to sitting up straight so to be in a hunched position was unbearable. I also have to sleep reclined which is uncomfortable for me because I normally sleep on my side. The Shiatsu has helped me significantly. So far, it has helped me to stand a bit straighter with little to no effort, it relieved tension in the middle and lower back and neck. For my mother, she swore after 1st use, her back felt looser and she was able to bend down with ease and improved her posture for that day. We'll see over time if her flexibility improves and better posture is maintained. This was definitely a good investment. To know I can have pain relief on a daily basis (in the comfort of my own home) is priceless. I've mentioned the pros now here is the cons which there's a solution. Con: Im 5'7 and i thought the neck portion of the massager would hit the lower part of my neck but it doesnt unless I sit higher up. (Solution, sit on a cushion. No problem) Also, I wish the massager could go a little higher towards my upper back behind the shoulder blades (for that, maybe I'd slouch down a bit? But then I wont be able to do the neck at the same time) Regardless of those 2 cons, I still think its worth it. It still did what it was made to do. My mom is 5'3 and cant reach the neck area unless she sits on a cushion. Wish the chair had an adjustable feature to accommodate all heights.Note: I've used it on my leather home office chair and on my sofa (recliner). Works wonders. Also, the heat setting is not as hot as a heathing pad which is fine for me and my mom. We still enjoy that feature. Its just enough.

Comfier Chair Massage Review:Pros:Packaged nicely.Instructions and set up are easy.Appears sturdy.Back massage much more intense without the detachable pad, which I really liked (pad is a Velcro attach/detach).Fit Recliner sitting up but not with straps around back. Back massage without the Velcro pad was good-very good, but not great.Fit adjustable bed the best, though it isn't recommended for that specific use. Very good but not excellent back massage.Cons:Very heavy. Had to have hubby carry it around.Didn't fit on my office chair; too big and wrong angle.Fit dining chair but needed a pad on the seat to get lumbar and neck massager into correct position. This had my feet off the floor - tried various modes, not much of a massage. Also despite 90 degree angle of chair, had to put neck in a very uncomfortable position to use the Neck massage position.Neck massager is not angled. It is stright aligned with the back but back's massaging units push back "out" a bit So whether in Recliner, dining chair, or adjustable bed (even with pillows or rolled throw blankets to get a better angle on the neck) I wasn't able to use the neck massager portion as it was an awkward and uncomfortable position for my neck in every setting.Even with a cushion on the seat to make back massager fit my smaller stature (5’1”), and neck on most downward position, neck massage still too high on dining chair and recliner, even after putting rolled up throw blanket behind it to change the angle to be better. But did fit much my neck much better on the adjustable bed, but nothing I tried put the neck massager itself at a comfortable angle to use. Head was always stretched up and pushed back to use neck portion.Back massager good-very good not great. Would give 4.5 stars.Neck massager's poor angle made it uncomfortable to use even after adjusting the height and using pillows to change the angle. Couldn't find any way to use it without it being awkward and uncomfortable. Would give that part a 2 star review. The neck massager works great, but the angle makes it uncomfortable to use.Suggestion for improvement: angle neck forward about 15-20 degrees forward so it lines up with the back when sitting up.The "air pressure" settings were just very odd. They squeezed from the sides and it wasn't a massage, just an annoying squeeze and relax motion.I don't like vibrating massage, but it felt very typical. Nothing unusual. Not too intense and very smooth. So 5 stars for vibration (if you like vibration).Heat was pretty good. It didn't get too hot or overheat on dining chair, recliner or adjustable bed. Heat was just enough to be soothing without feeling "too hot."Overall score: 4 stars. Good back massager and well made. Not worth the money given the neck angle issues.

This machine is wonderful! Took some time figuring adjustments as I am short and my husband is tall. Being short, (5'3) The neck massage works well if you sit on a thin pillow and move the gears down. I like the chair as you can turn the heat on, change settings during the massage, and it has many different compressions on the sides that are very relaxing. Well worth the money. The only thing i don't like about it, is that we need to use it on a dining room chair. Won't work on our couch, but that may just be the angel of our cushions.
